Forestry Together is an alliance of representatives from across Canada who have come together to positively impact equity, diversity, and inclusion in the forest sector. Our goal is to build meaningful inclusion of sector employees and focus on increasing equity for all. Forestry Together aims to achieve meaningful inclusion for current and future employees and is focused on increasing equity for all people, including Indigenous Peoples, visible minorities, women, 2SLGBTQI+, people with disabilities, and newcomers to Canada.

Women in Wood was created to bring together passionate women from across Canada and around the world to share their love for the woods. Whether you work in the woods, with wood, or for the woods, WIW provides a networking opportunity to help you find mentors, seek career advice, or meet other passionate women. Objectives: 1) Build a community of women who work with, in and for the woods. 2) Encourage women to pursue careers in the forest, wood and related sectors. 3) Help Women in Wood succeed in their career goals by collaborating for success, sharing information, improving skills, and navigating the workplace.

The Consortium's mission is to Engage with all members of the wildland fire ecosystem; Connect knowledge holders, generators and users; and Accelerate innovation in wildland fire management using a whole-of-society approach. The Wildfire Resilience Consortium of Canada aims to unify the elements to create a transformative approach to wildfire management for the country and beyond. Through the place-based knowledge mobilization network, the technology and innovation accelerator and a core focus on Indigenous fire stewardship and long term land management, WRCC will be the bridge that leads us to enchanced resilience against wildfires. The WRCC's approach is holistic, collaborative, and adaptive, ensuring that Canada is better prepared for and resilient to the growing wildfire threat.

The Free to Grow in Forestry initiative aims to achieve gender equality and meaningful inclusion of equity-deserving groups at all levels from technical to executive level positions in the forest sector. The initiative is an unprecedented collaboration that was launched in 2018 as a result of the Gender Equity in Canada's Forest Sector National Action Plan Initiative, spearheaded by the Canadian Institute of Forestry and the Centre for Social Intelligence, with strategic guidance from the National Steering Committee of forest sector leaders. They provide tools to help support positive workplace culture, including learning modules.

The Canadian Institute of Forestry Institut forestier du Canada is a not-for-profit, member-based organization. Founded in 1908, the CIF-IFC is the oldest forest society in Canada, serving as the voice of forest practitioners representing foresters, forest technologists and technicians, ecologists, biologists, educators and many others with an interest in forests and forestry. The CIF mission is to provide national leadership in forestry and forest stewardship, promote competency among forest practitioners, and foster public awareness and education of forest and forestry issues.

Prescribed Fire Training Exchanges and cooperative burns provide experiential training that builds robust local capacity for fire management and offers fire practitioners a more holistic perspectivea?\"while implementing treatments that support community and landscape objectives. TREX provides a unique cooperative burning model that services the needs of a variety of entities, including federal and state agencies, private landowners and contractors, tribes, academics, and international partnersa?\"while incorporating local values and issues to build the right kinds of capacity in the right places. Most TREX events take place in the spring or fall, when conditions are mostly likely to be good for safe and effective prescribed burning.

The Wildland Firefighting Silviculture Training is an 8-week, field-based program designed to introduce participants to various career paths in natural resources, including field-based forestry work. It provides valuable skills and 16 industry certifications relevant to forestry roles such as Silviculture, Forest Operations, Tree Planting, and Danger Tree Assessing.

To promote effective forest management and stewardship, these training materials were developed as part of an ongoing commitment to sustainability of the province's forest resources with a focus on pruning, commercial thinning, fertilization, wood quality, stand density, and juvenile spacing.

This webinar examines how legal objectives for mule deer winter range and old growth management affect the Stswecem'c Xget'tem First Nation's ability to reduce wildfire risk, adapt to climate change, and restore ecocultural values in their south-central BC forests. Despite the impacts of settler-colonial policies, SXFN has long stewarded their territory using fire. In partnership with the University of British Columbia, they assessed crown fire risk, fuel loads, and potential treatments, highlighting both current stewardship efforts and the importance of Indigenous sovereignty in land management.
